Financial Accountability
Generosity.
Stewardship.
Accountability.
At The Well Worship Center, we believe every dollar given represents both generosity and trust. We take seriously our responsibility to steward those resources with integrity, wisdom, and accountability. Through the faithful giving of our church family, approximately $1.25 million is entrusted to The Well each year to support the ministry and mission of our church.
Our goal is simple: use what God has entrusted to us to make disciples, strengthen the church, serve people, and advance the Gospel—while maintaining the financial health necessary to sustain that mission for generations to come.
Where Your Giving Goes
Our annual budget is built around five primary areas:
35% — Facilities & Property Approximately $437,500 annually
Our facilities are used throughout the week for worship services, children's and youth ministry, small groups, discipleship, community activities, offices, and other ministry. This allocation includes mortgage obligations, utilities, maintenance, repairs, property care, and other costs associated with operating our campus.
35% — Employee Compensation Approximately $437,500 annually
Ministry happens through people. This allocation provides compensation and related employment costs for the pastors, ministry leaders, administrative staff, and other employees who serve our church family and carry out the day-to-day ministry of The Well.
10% — Internal Ministry Programs Approximately $125,000 annually
These resources directly support the ministries of the church, including worship, children, youth, discipleship, small groups, outreach, events, ministry supplies, and other programs that help us fulfill our mission.
10% — Missions Approximately $125,000 annually
We believe the mission of the Church extends far beyond our building. We intentionally dedicate resources to missions and outreach so that the Gospel is advanced and people are served both locally and around the world.
10% — Savings & Emergency Reserves Approximately $125,000 annually
Good stewardship means preparing for tomorrow as well as funding ministry today. Maintaining healthy reserves allows The Well to respond to unexpected expenses, major repairs, emergencies, and future ministry opportunities without jeopardizing the ongoing work of the church.
Financial Oversight & Accountability
Financial integrity requires more than a good budget. It requires systems of accountability that help ensure the resources entrusted to the church are handled responsibly.
The Well maintains multiple layers of financial oversight:
-
Our annual budget is reviewed and approved by the Governing Board.
-
Financial reports are reviewed every month, allowing church leadership to continually monitor income, expenses, cash flow, and performance against the approved budget.
-
A third-party professional bookkeeper oversees our financial practices and record keeping, providing professional, independent involvement in the management and reporting of church finances.
-
Financial decisions are made within the established governance and accountability structure of the church rather than resting with any one individual.
We believe these practices help protect the church, its leadership, and—most importantly—the trust of the people who faithfully give.
Our commitment is to operate with integrity, accountability, generosity, and wisdom, remembering that everything entrusted to this ministry ultimately belongs to God.
Thank You for Your Generosity
The ministry of The Well is made possible through the faithful generosity of people who believe in our mission: Go. Make Disciples.
Every gift helps create environments where people can encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, serve others, and carry the Gospel into our community and around the world.
We are grateful for every person who gives, serves, prays, and partners with us in that mission.
