WE BELIEVE

Love God.  Love people.  Go. Make Disciples.

At The Well Worship Center, everything we do flows from the great commandment, and the great commission.  These core beliefs define who we are, what we teach, and how we live.

1. The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the Word of God—divinely inspired, authoritative, and completely trustworthy for all people in every generation. God chose to reveal Himself through human authors, preserving His truth for us in Scripture.  We also recognize that, as the Bible has been faithfully copied and passed down through history, a small number of textual variations exist in certain passages. These are well-documented and carefully studied, and none of them change the message of the gospel or any essential Christian doctrine.  Because of this, we have full confidence that the Bible we read today accurately reveals who God is, His plan for salvation, and how we are to live. It stands as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

2. The One True God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, perfectly holy, just, and loving, and worthy of all worship.

3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. He is the only way to salvation.

4. Salvation

The bible says clearly that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.  Yet, biblical salvation is not merely a moment, but a life of following Jesus:

  • We have been saved from the penalty of sin

  • We are being saved from the power of sin

  • We will be saved from the presence of sin

True salvation, according to biblical records, results in a transformed life marked by obedience and ongoing surrender to Christ.

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within believers, empowering them to live a holy life, guiding them into truth, and equipping them with spiritual gifts for ministry. The Christian life is not possible apart from the active work of the Holy Spirit.

6. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers. The Church exists to glorify God by making disciples, building up believers, and reaching the world with the gospel.

7. Discipleship Requires Relationship

We believe spiritual growth does not happen in isolation. God designed discipleship to occur in the context of relationships—this is why we prioritize small groups, where people grow through Scripture, prayer, and authentic community.

8. Every Believer Is Called to the Mission

We believe every Christian is called to actively participate in the Great Commission. Ministry is not reserved for a few—every believer has a role to play in advancing the gospel.

9. Baptism

Water baptism is associated with salvation throughout the entire New Testament.  However, water baptism in-and-of-itself does not save a person.  The primary method demonstrated in the bible for baptism was, and is, water baptism by immersion.  We view baptism as both associated with salvation, and the public declaration of a person’s faith in Jesus Christ.

10.  Communion

We believe in communion as an ongoing remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He returns.

11. A Life of Holiness and Transformation

We believe that following Jesus results in a life that is continually being transformed. While we are not saved by works, we are saved for a life that reflects Christ in our thoughts, actions, and character.

12. Spiritual Reality

We believe in the reality of both angels and demons. We believe Jesus has full authority over all spiritual forces and that believers have victory in Him. We approach spiritual warfare with biblical truth, not fear or extremes.

13. Healing and the Supernatural Work of God

We believe God still moves today—He heals, restores, and intervenes according to His will. We pray with faith, trusting God as both sovereign and good.

14. Marriage and Family

We believe marriage is a covenant established by God between one man and one woman. We believe the family is foundational to society and that parents are called to raise their children in the instruction and truth of the Lord.

15. The Value of Every Person

We believe every person is created in the image of God and has inherent worth and dignity. This compels us to love people, serve people, and share the truth with people—without compromise.

16. Unity in the Body of Christ

We believe in the unity of all true believers across denominational lines. While we hold strong convictions, we pursue unity around the gospel of Jesus Christ.

17. The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return again, personally and visibly. This future reality shapes how we live today—with urgency, hope, and faithfulness.
